Options Revamp

All the menus and features of the “options” menu are moved to a pop-up with new art and descriptions.

Battle Simulator

The battle simulator is a visual representation of the battle reports that includes all the statistics, phases and units actions on the battlefield. Provides the controls to move forward or backwards at each battle round or unit types turns, it can be used to check exact moments from a given battle.

Castle Reward Skins

Winners of each round in clan and player ranking, that win first place, now receive the option to change their castles outlook for one round. The skins can be changed from options and are applied on the world map, and every other place where the order building is visible.

Quests Revamp

Revamp on all the quests, quests user interface, their rewards, order of appearance, categorization.

Provinces Battle Tutorial

The province battle tutorial is a new tutorial presented as a quest line in the military quest category. It takes place in the province and its goal is to teach players about the game combat mechanics. The old tutorial is removed.

Show Me Option in Quests

"Show Me" is an option in each quest that allows players to request a visual aid for indication of the needed action to complete the quest in question. It guides the player from any part of the game towards the objective of the quest.

Startup Game Adviser

Game Adviser is a simple textual adviser that is shown on each main part of the game, giving short information about the purpose of that screen. It can be disabled at any point and also can be reset from the top right menu.

Marketplace Revamp

Marketplace has received some changes:

  • Direct resources transfer is now available only for transfer between castles a player owns. It is now considered a standard campaign and is accessed through the send campaign interface as with normal campaigns. It is called a Transport campaign.
  • Transfer without unload, used to save resources from attacks, is now considered a standard campaign and is accessed thought the send campaign interface as with normal campaigns. It is called a Caravan campaign.
  • The resource trading is now limited to be available only between clan members. The distance between members castles is no longer taken into account when considering the travel times and availability. The travel time of the merchants is now a static number of 30 minutes, which can be lowered by normal merchants travel speed bonuses. The exchange rate is now strictly one to one.
  • The internal market, where a player can exchange his resources for another resource with percent loss is once again available in all versions of the game.

Buildings Information Update

All bonuses of the buildings statistics are now listed in their information panels (i button).

Nations Bonuses Revamp

Re-balance of Nations bonuses towards boosting all of them so they can be in par with strongest ones. Also three of them are made to be more new players friendly with bonuses towards their protection – Byzantines, Britons and Goths.

BULGARIANS

  • 25% more gold production instead of 10%
  • 25% cheaper archers training instead of 10%
  • 100% increased tower capacity instead of 20%

Added bonuses:

  • 25% faster infantry training
  • 25% cheaper nobleman and special units training
  • 50% cheaper upgrades for all units

Choose Nation Screen Redesign

Choose Nation Screen has been redesigned so all nations are seen on the screen at once, and the recommended ones are on top.

Archer Cavalry Attack Statistics Rebalance

As the archer cavalry was too devastating we rebalanced its statistics:

  • 100 attack against infantry instead of 180
  • 130 attack against cavalry instead of 220
  • 180 attack against archers instead of 200
  • 210 attack against siege instead of 180

New Daily Rewards

Daily rewards have been reworked and some new types of rewards are added. There are now chances to get extend storage or shelter reward chests, production boosts or even a ritual.

+10 Levels on Tower Building

The Tower building has been extended with 10 more levels, thus its maximum capacity has been increased to 5000 without bonuses.

Knight Items Revamp

Some less popular unused bonuses have been removed from the items.

Infirmary Building Update

Improvements made to the Infirmary building:

  • Infirmary user interface has been updated for easier use.
  • Infirmary now gathers 25% of the exact unit types the player has lost instead of random ones.

Amount of Attack Campaigns and Food Penalty Update

The food cost based on amount of active attack and support campaigns mechanics is updated. It is no longer set in the castle building, but it automatically lowers the food production based on the number of currently active attack and support campaigns.

Increased Nation Experience Gain

The experience gain form building, training armies and upgrades has been increased to match the resources spent. The goal is to boost economic gameplay style when considering the rankings.

Redesign of Pop-ups

All in-game pop-ups were redesigned with new look and feel.

Tips of the Day

Small helpful textual tips for how to play the game are added in the daily rewards pop-up, they change each day.

Replacing Player Avatar Images

The avatar images are changed with new, more stylish images.

Clean-up Campaign Cargo Motivation

Armies sent on clean-up campaigns in classic and retro versions of the game now can be motivated to increase the carried cargo.

Clan War Log

Clan battle logs are added to the game:

  • Internal clan battle log – shows the statistics of each battle for particular member in the clan, can only be seen by members in the clan in question.
  • External clan war log – shows the accumulated statistics for each war the clan has or has been participated in a given round. The statistics are accumulated from all the clan members and shown as totals. Can be seen by all players.

Knights Acquiring Mechanics Update

The “request offspring” feature has been removed from the game and the players will receive a new Knight automatically after they acquire a castle (up to 4 Knights).

Knights Special Attack Abilities

Each knight type has received unique special attack ability and also their damage boosted:

  • Marshal - Critical Strike - Knight has 50% chance to hit one target for 300% damage. Always hits first enemy line.
  • Spy - Ricochet Shot - This shot has a 75% chance to ricochet a target on the first line for 100% damage, and then hit a target on the next line. Each ricochet lowers the chance for next ricochet with 25%.
  • Landlord - Splash Attack - Hits one target for 100% damage and has a 50% chance to hit the two targets around it on the same line for 100% damage.
  • Trader - Ballistic Shot - Knight attack that can hit any unit on the field regardless of its position and has a 50% chance for 200% damage.

Knight Ability Bonuses Rebalance

Knights have their ability bonuses rebalanced:

  • Marshal - the increase of the life of infantry units is now 0.25% per point invested instead of 0.5%, thus leading to maximum bonus of 10%, instead of 20%.
  • Trader - the increase of the life of siege machines is now 0.25% per point invested instead of 0.5%, thus leading to maximum bonus of 10%, instead of 20%.
  • Spy - the increase of the life and damage of archer cavalry is now 0.25% per point invested instead of 1%, thus leading to maximum bonus of 10%, instead of 40%.
